The Story
NO. 3 REMIX
Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.
He felt a bead of sweat trickled down the back of his neck. He was silent and motionless. Barely blinking, his concentration eclipsed all need for oxygen or respite of tensed muscles. A light breeze moved over him, delivering a moment of relief, but he did not flinch.
He had his eyes fixed on a diamond, a flickering blue and white beauty of the world. His tightened grip caused his hands to sweat, dampening the wooden handle of his net. He counted to three. His breath stopped in an instant and his moment had come.
He hurtled forward, arms extended and he came down on the butterfly in one long swoop. He crashed to the ground and his eyes searched for a prize inside the net. Empty. His gaze followed upwards and he saw the iridescent blues and white sparkle in the sunlight, flickered slowly out of sight.
The cool breeze came over him once again.
